Novena Prayers

Persistent prayers can change situations. We must pray without ceasing, both in time of sorrow and in time of joy.

What is Novena?

The name novena came from the Latin word 'Novem', which means the number nine. Novena is when a specific prayer is repeated for nine days or nine hours consecutively. After Jesus had ascended into Heaven, Mary Mother of Jesus and the 12 Apostles went into the upper room and engaged in prayers for nine days. On the tenth day, the Holy Spirit came down on them: the Pentecost. That was the first novena. The faithful are encouraged to offer novena prayers in times of needs. Many had received answers to their prayers through novena prayers.

Below are some novenas that are known to be very powerful. Choose the novenas that are most suitable for your needs or the needs of those you wish to pray for. May the Lord grant answers to our prayers in accordance with His will for us...amen.
